New Rogue suit for birthday

For my birthday I ordered a new suit. It’s a male version of thugs (90 versions) from the X-Men, but instead of his green and yellow will be red and black (I look terrible in yellow), it will have the symbols X-Men and arms and legs to wake up with gloves and red knee socks (have to wear with sneakers for now until I find a suitable pair of boots red), with a turtle neck and a high Separate long length red hood / mask with eye holes that fit under the turtleneck collar of the suit and the suit will be less zip. AVATAR zentai suit

I had a small interesting chat with another zentai member here for the subject idea of a cool Neytiri costume Halloween could be AWESOME to have/wear. So I’m brainstorming up a suit design for it. I have found TWO best-close fabrics to come close to their body skin, but just wanted to see/read your input on the choices. Definitely the first pattern! Just got back from seeing Avatar in IMAX 3D, and now I know that I’m just going to HAVE to get something like that, with latex prosthetics and all. The question is where from, and how much? BatmanBeyond2009 – how far are you from NYC? The fabric district has a couple of awesome shops, by far the best is “Spandex House” which has three floors stuff full of spandex, I they might have that one in stock, or some interesting alternatives.

I’ve known of Spandex house and two other places: Spandex World and recently found another place (but name escapes memory now). Spandex World & House sends swatches (or fabric samples) upon request from their site before deciding to make purchases with them and is the best first step move before buying it for designing suits. I’ve already made my 12 samples request and waiting for the 10 days to get them.

For the ‘Avatar’ idea I’m still doing the drawings plan for how to make it so, but again the favorite choice fabric many are pick in is a ‘2-Way’ stretch fabric and I really hope I can make the suit comfortable enough to make movements like the ‘Navy race’(?). Time will tell, so I’ll have something figured out by then! Well, to my quick surprise the fabrics came in today. Looking at the two chosen ‘Avatar zentai/cosplay’ samples, it seems the more likely to making the suit easier ways on the second choice(for again it’s a 4-Way fabric), but will probably just make TWO SUITS out of both fabrics. The highly-chosen one by you guys seem to be more on a ‘purple’ color while the holographic dots are turquoise color and the stretching-ability is 2-Way. So I have to make sure when cutting out the body parts patterns, I have to choose the RIGHT DIRECT of the stretch to conform my body movement leaving enough room/space to get the comfort of movement also.

I finally got the latex samples from Libidos for my stretchy Avatar outfit. If you look closely at the skin there is a lighter blue with darker blue strips that also have lighter blue middles, so the effect is created with layered latex. I’ll photograph some and post if I can. It’s not perfect yet, but I think the next round will be. Well, I can finally say at 4:00(EST), I have finished the AVATAR SUIT!!! I wanted to finished it earlier today to mail out, but I wanted also to make sure it looks good and finished it up slowly and patiently so my paid-friend will have his suit mailed out tomorrow morning. I have a few shots posted here, but some can’t be posted(for some strange reason), so I’ve created a album to show all of shots. I want tot hank all who have encouraged/supported me in making it.

Animal zentai suits

Just got my leopard zentai suit in the mail today from Body weaver. Got home from work and tried it on and the look, fit, and feel was great. Either tomorrow night or Monday, I’ll have pictures to share. But anyway………How many others out there are mostly into animal zentai suits (Tiger, Leopard, Dalmatian, etc., etc.) only?

What is your favorite? How many animal suits do you have? I just love animal suits, especially the cat types. MEOW! Now I just have to. I have tiger and leopard suits including a blue panther from fetes, but also 3 snake skin patterned . I’d love a crocodile one. I love to wear them, sometimes with fitting mask. Yeah, that’s a bit too tony for me. I’m thinking the ultimate wolf suit would be more akin to the tiger and leopard suits – a wolf fur print with pointed ears and tail. I’m thinking the only way I’d be able to do it would be to get a white suit and paint it along the lines of a Cats costume.

My biggest attraction is the animal ones, I currently own a white tiger striped (hoodless unfortunately) which I’ve dyed blue for costume purposes, but I do love the leopard, zebra zentai suit and other tiger print ones. I also love the black, grey or white cat suits! Anyone know where I could possibly find a white Zentai tiger hood for my suit? Preferably one with ears? Also looking for the matching gloves actually. I like both the animal ones and the normal ones…but probably the animal ones a tiny bit more because they have such nice patterns to them and the ears and tail is a nice touch…really makes you transform when you get inside of an animal suit I lusted to have a black panther velour one that was very nice, I think the velour ones are great because the material almost kind of represents fur. I always wanted to make a raccoon zentai suit with an actual animal shaped head and eyes i can see out of…I’ve seen a picture of a really nice one before. I have a black suit and a zebra suit, and I have much preferred going out in my zebra suit (it has less ‘gimp’ connotations). I also love animal designs, and transforming into something else when you’re wearing it.

My next suit on my wish list so to speak is definitely a leopard suit, although I’m not sure where to get the best one. Someone mentioned before that animal print suits from China are all not very stretchy / a bit rough to the touch. This is definitely the case with my zebra suit, which feels like quite a different fabric to my black suit (which is far more stretchy). I was wondering are all print suits like this, or just ones from China? I have a panther one (just a black suit with ears and a tail) and a tiger zentai suit. I’m definitely going to try for more animal ones. The idea of actually being something else is more appealing to me than just being a certain color.

Attractive zentai prize

I have to pull out my yellow card, too, Lisa. Those first four entries are professionally-shot from other websites. Either you need to screen entries to make sure they are amateurs, or just end the stupid thing. This all seems a bit fishy to me. To be honest VM, I’ve been suspicious about this whole competition from day one. Firstly there was the improper use of other people’s photo’s as a banner, then there’s the first competition, which surprisingly, nobody on here won the major prizes, and as I write, no-one seems to have received their prizes yet. It’s the main reason why I’ve steered well away from it, and from what I can tell, most of the zentai community has as well. Batgirl Halloween costume

I did get my suits the other day (finally), plus one I actually bought before the competition to “test the waters”, but they are by far the lowest quality suits I’ve ever seen. Two of them are nothing like the pictures on the site, for one thing, and the sizing is messed up on all three. Also one of them even had two left arms. Plus the one I actually paid for they used non-stretchy fabric for the gold trim on it so I can’t even get the suit on! I have to say, their suit quality doesn’t surprise me, which is the main reason why I only buy from DHYA/Fetes Fash. Some of the older eBay suits I have bought, I’ve had to do major repair work, or even just junk, but have been able to reuse some of them. It’s amazing that this has gone on so long and notice how there are no replies from the original poster? Wonder if they got all the pictures they needed, and don’t need to spam us anymore. I for one, welcome the respite.

Only one of the “winners” is a non-professional picture. Lisa commented in another thread that “she” couldn’t control who entered with what picture in response to a comment of mine. She also didn’t really comment on my complaint that in the first season, she herself entered. Her only answer was that she didn’t vote for herself. Well, Lisa didn’t win that, but I’m 99% positive that all the winners of expensive prizes in both contests were fake entrants. Some might even suggest (but not me of course) that the main winners were all entries by the promoters themselves. But no, they wouldn’t do that, would they?

They let me try one on no problem. Came out of the changing room and had my first walkabout. I gave it back to the associate because the fit wasn’t so good and they were okay with that. But did end up changing my mind and buying it anyway. Don’t be afraid to come out of the changing room! Looks like the top winner is again a Chinese girl whose pictures are often used by the Chinese sellers. I wish they didn’t do stuff like this to make Chinese look so bad to the rest of the world.
